Page 3 of 3 Installer manifest3install.exe 3.1mb3. The supplied demo file is only meant for practice and when you want to work on REAL data you need to create a new file giving at an appropriate name. If you did use the demofile by deleting its records and adding your own, this is no problem, but you cannot re-name it later. (but you can create a new file and copy the records across one-by-one). 4. The textual data in the demo file contains many spelling mistakes and gibberish making it look very stupid. This is deliberate to avoid copyright problems during distribution of the software. 5. Manifest is freeware which means anyone can use it freely without any cost, but the authors retain the copyright and right to withdraw it or restrict its distribution. As freeware, support is limited - questions and suggestions are encouraged at no cost, but the author accepts no liability for damage to files, computer systems, or problems with software suitability. If an important Manifest data file you create becomes corrupted, it may be possible for us to repair it for you, but this service would be charged for. Manifest cannot corrupt its own files - the cause is always elsewhere on the computer. 6. The type of picture file that Manifest requires is JPG or JPEG. Virtually all photographs are in this format but if you use an unusual camera that creates a different format, you will need to convert the files to JPG before importing them. Two free programs by other authors are suggested in case you need to do this: http://www.xnview.com/ |
